A fast-growing evergreen bush with leathery grey-green leaves, paler underneath. In late spring, it produces eye-catching flowers with bright red stamens tipped in gold, highly attractive to bees. It tolerates salt and drought very well so it is ideal for coastal gardens. During the hottest months, regular irrigations could favour its compact and thick development and make its blooming longer.
