This hardy, fast-growing herbaceous perennial can spread widely thanks to its rooting suckers. It produces many stems from underground shoots. It is a rustic touch in a Mediterranean garden. From late spring to late autumn, rounded clusters of small flowers bloom at the tips of the stems, displaying shades from fuchsia to deep purple.
