A small evergreen bulbous plant growing up to 50cm tall and spreads over 30 cm wide. A dense tuft of long, thin, grey-green leaves arises from the bulb. From early summer to late autumn, flower stems bear clusters of light pink-purple star-shaped flowers. The plant emits a characteristic garlic scent when touched.
