Popular succulent, perennial and semi-deciduous, with slow growth and a bushy, compact habit. Semi-woody thorny stems with greyish bark form a tidy shape. From late spring to late autumn, long-lasting flowers appear, wrapped in large colorful bracts (red, pink, white, or yellow). It is very draught tolerant.
