A perennial bush with velvety and highly aromatic leaves. In spring and especially autumn, it produces long, arching inflorescences of two-toned flowers, with white corollas set in lilac funnel-shaped calyces. Its flowers attract bees and varius insects and they can be used as cut flowers, too.
