It is a tropical plant with large, bright green, lobed leaves and a thick trunk. It needs a semi or total shaded position and is an ideal houseplant, however if planted in the ground, placed under shade of big trees its exuberant foliage will give an exotic-tropical aspect to any corner of garden. After several years, it may appear flowers in the summer.
